Benue: BIPC Seeks Partnership With NIPC On Semi-Moribund Industries

Group Managing Director, Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), Alfred Adem has sought collaboration with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) to revive semi-moribund industries in the state, Concise News reports. Adem, made the call yesterday, when he hosted the new NIPC Zonal Coordinator for North Central Region, Emmanuel Longza and the State Coordinator, Beatrice Peter in Makurdi. In a statement by the Media Officer of BIPC, Peter Asema, Adem appealed to the council to use its network to seek local and international partnership for some of the semi-moribund industries to boost economic growth and opportunities in the state. As well, he pledged BIPC’s commitment to meeting all registration requirement with the council. According to him, “We are in dire need of that collaboration because it will avail us the platform to access foreign and local partnership that would jump-start semi-moribund industries in Benue.” Read more here.

Benue: Why APC Can’t Beat Ortom At Tribunal -PDP

The Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said there are facts that Governor Samuel Ortom won the election. Concise News that the candidate of the defeated gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last elections in Benue State Emmanuel Jime are challenging Ortom’s win. In a statement by the PDP noted that “This delusion of theirs is based on claims they are bandying that the second term mandate currently being enjoyed by Gov. Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a stolen one. “In a goodwill message on the occasion of the Inaugural June 12 Democracy Day celebration held recently, Jime attempted to draw similarities between the recognition accorded June 12 and the Benue 2019 election assuring his supporters of victory at the tribunal.” Read more here.
