Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are one point away from qualifying for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup after recording their second win at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
The wasteful Nigerian team defeated Angola 1-0, with the only goal of the match coming via penalty converted by Olakunle Olusegun in the 20th minutes.
Although the Nigeria Football Federation have congratulated the team for ‘qualifying for the tournament in Brazil’, the Eaglets have yet to seal the ticket as there is still a possibility of three teams finishing on six points in the group.
In the second match of the day, Uganda defeated hosts Tanzania 3-0, which means both Angola and Uganda can still make it to the semis of this tournament.
