The self-acclaimed leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, claims that five people, led by President Muhammadu Buhari’s chief of staff, are ruling Nigeria.
Kanu, who resurfaced in Jerusalem, Israel on 19 October after the military invasion of his community in Abia state, made this claim during a live broadcast via radio Biafra on Saturday.
Concise News reports that since the IPOB leader resurfaced, he has been alleging that President Buhari is an imposter whose real name is Jibrin Aminu Al-Sudani from Sudan.
Reechoing his earlier claims during the live broadcast, the vocal pro-Biafra activist stressed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) do not know President Buhari’s alleged imposter.
His words: “The question we are asking this very evening is this, who is presiding over the leadership of Nigeria in Aso Rock?
“Democracy is voting for somebody you believe in but this man is from Sudan (referring to President Buhari)… APC doesn’t know him, PDP does not know him either so how come he is there? Because four or five people led by Abba Kyari said he must be there and we are Fulani, we own the army, we own the judiciary, we own the security, in fact, we are in every department in the country, you can’t do anything to us,” he said.
Speaking further, the IPOB leader said: “You have politicians who have resulted to blackmail, they claim they are patriots… I love Nigeria but in actual fact, they are cheap dirty blackmailers.
“If they love all of you Nigerians as they claim, why will they lie to you? Why will they blackmail each other rather than exposing Jubril?
“Sorry to say this, APC has committed an unpardonable sin in the history of the world, imagine a cabal from a particular section of the country playing on our intelligence and expecting us to keep quiet.
“In no time even the dumb will begin to speak out against this huge evil crime perpetrated against Nigerians. We saw something that wasn’t the way it was, we asked questions and they turned around and accuse us of greed, calling us emperors.
“This is supposed to be a Democrat in a democracy, trying to blackmail APC to give him what he wants or else he will tell the whole world that Buhari is dead and that Jubril replaced him and these are your patriots, these are the same people that will ask you to go and get your PVC ready.”

Kanu is leading a group seeking secession from Nigeria. The group has since been proscribed by the Nigerian Government.
