Transgender and KUWTK reality star, Catilyn Jenner, has announced that she intends to run for US Senate on a Republican ticket.
The one-time step-father to the Kardashians and Olympian told John Catsimatidis during a radio chat on Sunday that her run for Senate will put LGBT issues at the top of her agenda.
Jenner revealed her readiness to challenge veteran Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein. The Senator representing California is due for another election in 2018.
Still in doubt
According to Pink News, Caitlyn said she was still investigating whether her impact would be felt as a Senator or as an outsider.
“I have considered it. I like the political side of it,” she said.
She further said, “the political side of it has always been very intriguing to me. Can I do a better job from the outside?” she quizzed.
“Kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to, you know, and talk to anybody? Or are you better off from the inside, and we are in the process of determining that,” she explained.
“And yeah, but I would look for a senatorial run,” she said, setting a six-month deadline for reaching a decision.
