US President Donald Trump has denied using “shithole” to describe some countries during the meeting on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
He said this on Friday but however noted admitted that the language he used was “tough”.
Recall that Trump allegedly questioned why the US would want to have immigrants from Haiti and African nations, describing them as “shithole countries”.
“The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used,” Trump tweeted.
Also, the Office of UN Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said the US president’s reported remarks that immigrants were coming from “shithole countries” were racist.
