Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived Bonny Island in Rivers state for the groundbreaking of N120bn Bonny-Bodo Road.

The road is co-funded by Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) contributing N60 billion and the federal government providing the balance.

Media aide to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, in a series of tweets on Thursday, said the historic Bonny-Bodo road will link up Bonny Island.

Akande said the road project was part of the unprecedented N1.2tn infrastructure spending of the Buhari administration.

The vice president, after brief tour of NLNG plant, paid a courtsey visit to the Amanayabo of Grand Bonny Kingdom, King Edward Asimini William, ahead of groundbreaking.
