Olusegun Obasanjo

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has stated that Nigeria’s leadership crisis is caused by the lack of proper education on the part of some political leaders.

The party disclosed this in a statement by the spokesperson of its Lagos chapter,  Adelaja Adeoye, to congratulate ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on his recently acquired PhD in Christian Theology.

ADP stated that Obasanjo had proven to political leaders who aspire to acquire an education that age was never a barrier.

The party said: “The impact of education on leadership is limitless.

“Part of the leadership crisis the country is currently facing is as a result of lack of proper education and must not be allowed to repeat itself.

“We urge leaders who have been in retirement for so long to also take the advantage of the National Open University of Nigeria to add academic value to their lives.”
