Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state on Thursday flagged off construction of 100 units of 3-room flats valued at N60m for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Bama.

The facility, located in Bama Local Government Area of the state, was donated by Mohammed Indimi Foundation (MIF)

During the event at the Government House, Maiduguri, Shettima said the project was located in Bama since it is the worst hit by insurgence.

In addition, the governor lauded the qualities of Indimi, describing him as sympathetic and one who has committed his resources to helping the needy in the society.

On his part, the Chairman of the foundation, Mohammed Indimi, regretted that the Boko Haram menace had displaced millions, putting many in dire need of food and shelter.

He, thus, called on members of the public to do their bit in ameliorating the plight of those affected by the crises.
