Spokesperson of former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode, Jude Ndukwe, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to be deceived by the crowd that welcomed him in Kano.

The president on Wednesday started a two-day official visit to Kano state.

In a post on his Facebook page, Ndukwe called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to use the crowd as a yardstick to measure the president’s popularity ahead of the 2019 elections.

He said: “Buhari and APC should stop getting unnecessarily excited about the “crowd” that welcomed him in Kano yesterday and using it as a yardstick to measure his popularity at the 2019 elections.

“They embarked on similar premature excitement shortly before the Anambra election and came a distant second.

“Some people in that crowd merely came to have a glimpse of the man who has so much and so heartlessly impoverished them.”
