The U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture between Nigeria and Sudan has been moved from June to September.

Concise News learned that the Confederation of African Football sanctioned the rescheduling of the clash.

The Eagles were billed earlier to take on Sudan in the first leg, third round qualifying fixture on June 5 in Omdurman with the second leg fixed for four days later at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

However, the first leg will now hold on September 2nd with the return fixture coming up on September 10.

Nigeria beat Libya 4-2 in the last round of qualification after losing 2-0 in the first leg of the tie.

The top three nations at the AFCON U23 will represent the continent in the football event of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
