The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has told Governor Yahaya Bello to forget his re-election bid if he does not pay salary arrears.

Speaking on the matter, Omokri tweeted on Thursday that prisoners, unlike some workers in Kogi State, have food to eat.

He said they are also guaranteed of shelter and feeding, in contrast to some civil servants who have not been paid.

“Better to be a prisoner than be a civil servant in today’s Nigeria. At least as a prisoner, you get to eat daily,” he said.

“You have a roof over your head. You also have clothes to wear. All free of charge. Compare that to not being paid for 38 months as a Kogi civil servant.”
