Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe has said his team had to overcome fear to beat Manchester United in a Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Presnel Kimpembe and Mbappe were the scorers as United slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the Old Trafford.
This was United’s first loss since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as the head coach of the English side.
Speaking after the tie, Mbappe noted that the game was hard for the team initially.
“It is good, we are happy,” Mbappe told Sky Sports. “it is only half-time, though.
“We must stop feeling fearful – people must stop being scared. Football is played on a pitch.
He admitted that “Neymar and Edinson are important, but so too is what happens on the ground and we showed that here.
“I am a little disappointed as I had the chance to score a third. I think that it is over at 3-0.”
