This online news medium understands that IPOB revealed that the sit-at-home is also part of plans to actualize the Biafra dream.

According to the statement released on Thursday, it said: “IPOB explained that We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) consider it imperative to use this great opportunity provided by the Most High God to announce the sit at home order throughout Biafraland and Nigeria in remembrance of our fallen heroes and heroines whose sacrifice made it possible for this generation to be alive today.

“We shall also remember all victims of Fulani herdsmen attacks, Boko Haram violence and those that died at the hands of Nigerian security agencies over the years that nobody remembers.

“We are calling on all the people of Southern Kaduna, Middle Belt especially Benue, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kogi, those affected by herdsmen terrorism in Ondo, Osun and other states in Yorubaland to join the great family of IPOB in observing a day of solemn prayer and sit at home to remember those that lost their lives unlawfully at the hands of Fulani terrorist herdsmen and security agencies even during the recently concluded fraudulent 2019 general elections.”

It added: “This year’s remembrance and Sit-At-Home order will be special because it will present a unique moment of shared pains and misery for all the families that lost their loved ones to war, hunger, starvation, disease, terrorism and state-sponsored killings going on now in the contraption called Nigeria.

“We remember the heroic few that stood up against tyranny especially those that sacrificed their lives to defend the defenceless and those that lost their lives because there was no one to defend them.

“There will be no human, vehicular or animal movement across Biafraland on the 30th May 2019.

“Biafraland will be in total lockdown. Middle Belt and Yorubaland brethren are advised to join this historic sit at home order to honour the memory of all that died unjustly in Nigeria.

“Churches, Mosques, Synagogues and Temples are encouraged to open their places of worship on the midnight of the 29th of May for special midnight prayers in remembrance of all that died as a result of violence and sponsored killings.

“A special vigil will be held at the homes of select Biafran heroes and heroines who were murdered in cold blood in Biafraland.”

Biafra Will Be Actualized Without War, Says Nnamdi Kanu’s Brother

Younger brother to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Emmanuel Kanu has said that the Biafra Republic being championed by his brother would be achieved without any war.

He said that Nnamdi Kanu has engaged in what he called high profile diplomatic talks with notable world leaders and governments across the globe on how to peacefully restore Biafra.

The younger Kanu was quoted to have said this on Wednesday in Umuahia, when he received in audience a team of investigators from Alliances for Africa who said to be in their attacked family house on a fact-finding mission, said that important world leaders are now lending their full support to the Biafra struggles.

“The current diplomatic efforts by my brother on Biafra restoration are yielding positive results,” Kanu said.

He thanked the visiting investigative team for coming to see the level of destruction in his father’s compound following the attack by the military on September 14, 2017, and tasked them on the factual report, just as he expressed hope that the visit would help to secure more international sympathy over the Biafra cause.

Prince Kanu who was said to have conducted the team round the entire palace urged them to publish their findings “without fear or favour”.

“I feel very relieved by your visit today. I want the truth to be told so that the world will better understand the level of destruction in our house by the Nigerian military.

“Refuse to be bought over by the government and don’t compromise your findings”, Kanu was quoted as saying.

Asked if he expected a different result from the group’s visit considering the fact that many such groups had paid a similar visit to the palace, Kanu said he expected a positive outcome.

“We keep hoping that one day the right group will come who will report the destruction here the way it is, and take the Biafra cause to the global platform where humanity will listen to our plights,” he said.

In her remarks, the leader of the team, Chidire Anonye, a legal aid with Alliances for Africa, explained that they were in the home of the Kanus to collect raw data on the military invasion for analysis.

She said that the rights group was currently investigating alleged atrocities by state actors in South East states.

“We are documenting a project on mass atrocities by state actors in Abia”, she said, pointing out that other members of the team had gone to other states in the zone for a similar task.

“We are investigating killings of IPOB members in Anambra, invasion of communities by herdsmen in Enugu, military barricades in Imo and communal clashes in Ebonyi”, she further explained.

She said that after a very objective analysis of the findings, the group may consider a legal option to seek redress.

“We have the capacity to take the government to a regional court, ECOWAS court to demand justice if found liable,” she said.

Biafra: Group Speaks On Nnamdi Kanu’s Murder Allegation

The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has alleged that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu murdered Prophet Anthony Nwoko, Concise News understands.

This online news medium had reported that a former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo had accused the pro-Biafra group leader Nnamdi Kanu of killing Prophet Nwoko in Enugu State.

In a reaction to the developments, BNYL noted that it “carried out an investigation on the killing where it discovered that the killers are not outsiders but within the Biafra community.”

It further noted that the investigation “shows that the Enugu State IPOB Chief security was directly involved in the killing as he engineered it.”

The statement also accused “Kanu and his deputy Uche Mefor of arrogance and disrespect to the Biafran agitators.”

It said, “similar incidence took place in Port Harcourt city, Rivers State where one of their colleagues named Cosmos George Oto’obong and an Abia State lady were invited to a peace meeting by IPOB which they went and were rounded up, tortured and left half dead in the bush.”

The statement bashed IPOB for doing nothing to stop herdsmen killings in the South East.
