“No English Team will win Champions League this season,” number five of his prophecies on sports noted.

However, a hat trick from Lucas Moura sent Tottenham to the final of the competition ahead of Ajax, shattering the clergyman’s earlier prediction.

Ajax had won the first leg of the encounter 1-0 but fell 3-2 (3-3 aggregate) to Mauricio Pochettino’s North London boys in the return fixture, meaning they lost out on the away goal rule.

In the other semi-final clash played on Tuesday, another English side, Liverpool bashed Barcelona 4-0 at the Anfield to advance, 4-3 on aggregate, to the final.

Tottenham will play Liverpool in the final of Champions League on June 1.

The last time two English Premier League teams met at the final of the competition was in 2008 when Manchester United defeated Chelsea to win the trophy.
