The Benue State government has denied reports that it is shutting down activities following Governor Samuel Ortom’s leave, Concise News reports.
According to Onyeke, activities of the state government has not been paralysed by the absence of the Ortom since his deputy, Benson Abounu, has been acting on his behalf.
She noted that the government does not need the physical presence of the governor in Ministries, Departments and Agencies to operate and challenged anyone in doubt to go round and verify that full government activities are ongoing.
This is as she described the reports as baseless and mischievous and the peddlers ignorant.
Also, she said salary for March 2019 has been paid to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and that no civil servant in the state left their duties due to non-payment of salaries.
