The Benue State Resident Electoral Commissioner (Rec), Nentawe Yilwatda, has allayed fears that the supplementary election will not hold on Saturday.
Concise News understands that Benue, Kano, and some other states will have supplementary elections as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec).
Even though there have been fears in some quarters that the election in Benue will not take place, Yilwatda insisted that the exercise will go on as scheduled.
He, however, warned that no group can dictate for the commission on what to do in the state.
Governor Samuel Ortom has also said that the people of the state will resist any attempt to rig the election.
