The Nigerian has been a mainstay in Brendan Rodgers’ impressive team.

The Foxes’ win at the King Power Stadium meant they are now second on the log, five points behind league-leaders, Liverpool who take on fourth-placed Manchester City on Sunday.

He tweeted on his verified handle after the match: “Amazing performance from the team and 3 points in the bag to take to the international break. We keep the momentum Foxes.”

Morgan sends message to Emery after Arsenal’s loss to Leicester

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan has taken to social media to call for Unai Emery to be sacked after Arsenal suffered a 2-0 loss to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners headed into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-1 draw with Wolves at The Emirates last time out.

The Leicester defeat was Arsenal’s fifth of the season in the Premier League, with the Gunners having only won four of their opening 12 top-flight games this term.

Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan was at the game at the King Power Stadium and he clearly was not pleased to see Vardy give the home side the lead.

He tweeted after Leicester’s opener: “1-0. Bloody Vardy. #Lcfcvafc.”

And after Maddison had made it 2-0 to the hosts, Morgan simply tweeted: “#EmeryOUT.”

Arsenal will look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Southampton at The Emirates after the international break on 23 November.
