Biafra: Why Ndigbo Want Separate Country – Ekweremadu
A former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu has said Igbo are fighting for the creation of Biafra because they feel cheated in Nigeria.
Ekweremadu said this on Tuesday during the 2nd Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Memorial Lecture at the Igbariam campus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State.
According to him, the South East people are not happy with the state of things in Nigeria, claiming that there is an imbalance against the region. Read more here.
Biafra: Group Makes Demand On Nigerian Army Over ‘Atilogwu Udo 1’
The Biafra Zionists Federation (BZF) has demanded the withdrawal of troops from all roads in Igboland.
This online news platform learned that the pro-Biafra group noted this on Tuesday in a statement where it claimed that the Nigerian Army’s “Atilogwu Udo 1” is subjecting people to harassment.

IPOB Lampoons Miyetti Allah Over ‘Refusal To Obey Ban On Cattle Movement’ In S/East
The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has berated the Miyetti Allah Hire socio-cultural organization for ‘disobeying the ban on movement of cattle by foot’ in the South East.
IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful in a statement on Wednesday vowed the group would use every available means at its disposal to defend it’s people.
He was reacting to a statement credited to National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore socio-cultural organisation, Abdullahi Bodejo who stated that herdsmen will not obey the ban imposed by SouthEast Governors. Read more here.
