Minister Reveals What Mambilla Power Project Will Do To Taraba
The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman says the actualisation of the 3,050 Mega Watts(MW) Mambilla hydropower project in Taraba state will have direct impact on the people and growth of the state.
Mrs Etore Thomas, the Deputy Director, Press, Ministry of Power said this in a statement last Tuesday in Abuja.
Mamman spoke when he received Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba in his office.
The minister solicited support of the state government for the actualisation of the project in the interest of the people. Read more here.
Tiv Youth Council Sends Message To Army, DSS, Others Over Peace In Benue, Taraba
The Tiv Youth Council Worldwide has commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for restoring peace in Benue and Taraba states after deadly clashes in Tiv communities.
The commendation was made in a statement issued lasy Thursday by Mike Msuaan, the President, Tiv Youth Council Worldwide.
Msuaan recalled that the Benue valley and surrounding states were gradually becoming a hotbed of violence and almost becoming a safe haven for terrorists before the intervention of the security agents. Read more here.
Taraba: What Buratai, Nigerian Army Did To Further Tackle Insecurity
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has flagged off Exercise AYEM AKPATUMA II in Takum, Taraba with a charge on troops to consolidate on the gains recorded during the first exercise in the state.
This is contained in a statement by Maj. Ikechukwu Eze, the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, on Sunday in Jalingo.
Buratai explained that the Exercise was being conducted by Headquarters 3 Division, Headquarters Command Army Records, Headquarters Guards Brigade and 707 Special Forces Brigade. Read more here.
