Biafra: Bianca Expresses Reservation Over Obiano’s Absence At Ojukwu Memorial Lecture
Wife of the leader of the breakaway Republic of Biafra, late Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Mrs Bianca Ojukwu has expressed reservation over the absence of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra at the second memorial lecture of her husband.
She spoke during the annual lecture at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) Igbariam, Anambra State on Monday.
Obiano was represented at the event by his deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke.
Bianca who spoke shortly after the memorial lecture by Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, a former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said Obiano was one of the greatest beneficiaries of Ojukwu’s legacy. Read more here.
Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s PS Challenges Nigerian Govt To Announce Date For Referendum
Amaka Ekwo, the Press Secretary (PS) to Nnamdi Kanu, the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader says ‘Igbos’ are “ready” for a Biafra Referendum.
The outlawed group’s New Media and Special Duties Coordinator as well challenged the Nigerian government to announce a date for a referendum to be carried out among all ‘Igbos’ in Nigeria.
She dared the Federal Government in a tweet on her known Twitter handle on Tuesday.
The Biafra agitator was reacting to a Twitter user, Obinna Nwosu (@obi_Nwosu), who opined that should a referendum be put through among all ‘Igbos’ living in Nigeria, a majority will vote to stay in the West African country. Read more here.
