Benue: What Gov. Ortom Said About Killing Of Senior FRCN Staff

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue has told security agencies in the state to find the killers of Patrick Kumbul, Head of ICT Unit, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Harvest FM Makurdi.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Benue, DSP Catherine Anene, had confirmed that Kumbul was killed on Saturday night along with his neighbour Wuester Shongo.

Anene said the two men were killed on Amokachi Lane, Low Level, Makurdi, and that the Police had started full investigation into the matter. Read more here.

Benue: Gov. Ortom Reveals He Was Target Of Kidnap Plot

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue said on Sunday in Makurdi that he had dismantled all negative tendencies often believed to deter progress in the Government House and the state.

Ortom said this during a Special Thanksgiving Service organised in his honour by the Independent Print-Media Publishers Association of Nigeria (IPPAN), at the Chapel of Grace, Government House, Makurdi.

“Since my arrival, I have dedicated a special time on daily basis to be with God because He works in miraculous ways; those working against me are wasting their time and will never succeed.” Read more here.

Obasanjo Reveals Four Things He Came For At Benue

A former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo says he is in Benue state to see how his mango plantation has started, thank Governor Samuel Ortom for his encouragement; thank the community for accepting his project and give the workers the way forward.

The 82-year-old as well says his farm in Howe, Gwer East Local Government Area will employ over 1,000 workers in Benue.

Obasanjo made the disclosure on Monday in Howe during a visit to the farm to inspect the progress made so far. Read more here.
