Musa has not played with the team since the West Africans finished third at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
However, the 27-year-old former Leicester City man featured for seven minutes in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 win over Abha on Saturday.
His return to action is a major lift for Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr who is banking on the experienced skipper to lead his charges to secure maximum points in November.
The 2013 AFCON winners are in Group L of the AFCON 2021 qualifiers and will begin their campaign against Benin on November 13, before battling Lesotho four days later.
