Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Declares Readiness To Face Trial
The Leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday, told the Federal High Court, Abuja, that he was ready to face trial if his safety would be guaranteed by the court.
Kanu made this known to the presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako, through his counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
Ejiofor told the court that the application to restore the IPOB leader’s bail so that he could face his trial was filed on April 1.
“We have an application for bail filed on April 1, 2019, the application was served on the prosecution and it is ripped for hearing.
“We urge the court to restore his bail on the ground that the court will guarantee his safety when he comes back to the country to continue his trial,” he said. Read more here.
Biafra: IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu ‘Formally’ Threatens Revenge Over Ebonyi Scuffle
The leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has declared that his group will ‘surely avenge’ the scuffle between security operatives and his members in Ebonyi state last Sunday.
The clash occurred at Oguzoronweya Primary School in Ebonyi Local Government Area.
It would be recalled that this online news medium reported how IPOB members accused the police of unfairly attacking them while they were holding an inauguration ceremony last weekend.
This led to the arrest of an Abakaliki based legal practitioner, Orogwu Cyril Ndubuisi, and his fiancée, who were accused of being with the illegal IPOB members at the primary school.
