Biafra: Again, Family Speaks On Alleged Death Of Kanu
The family of Eze Isaac Okwu Kanu, traditional ruler of Afaraukwu community, Umuahia North Local North Government of Abia State and father of leader of the outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), has debunked rumour of the monarch’s death.
The tittle-tattle started few days ago when news of the passing of Kanu’s mother, Ugoeze Sally Nneme Kanu filtered in.
Rumours followed that Eze Kanu died too, but the announcement of his exit was being delayed because his wife was yet to be buried.
Debunking the rumour, younger brother of the IPOB leader and spokesman of the family, Prince Emma Kanu, insist that their father was alive. Read more here.
Igbo Presidency 2023: Top IPOB Apologist Bares Thoughts
As the talks for a Igbo presidency continues, a Counsel to the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has pointed out that there exists a regional imbalance in Nigeria.
The legal practitioner therefore calls on Ndigbo to address the issue first, else a president from the south-central and southeastern Nigeria “will be impotent”.
He made this assertion on his known Twitter handle on Tuesday.
The tweet reads: “The quest for #IgboPresidency2023 is diversionary. The allure of ‘power shift’ has blinded Igbo elites to the regional IMBALANCE that must be addressed FIRST. Without such, an Igbo President will be IMPOTENT. Jonathan was not WEAK. It’s the imbalance that made him look weak.” Read more here.
