Ohanaeze Reacts To Kanu’s Death
Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has sent a message of condolence to the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, over the death of his mother, Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu.
The condolence message, signed by the President General of Ohanaeze, Nnia Nwodo, reads: “On this occasion of the sad loss of your dear mother, HRH Mrs Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu, Ohanaeze Ndigbo sends you and your family our deepest condolences.
“The loss of your mother in a foreign land and circumstances where your entire family is involved in self -determination struggle for our people must be traumatising and destabilizing.” Read more here.
Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s Counsel Reacts To Jega’s Statement On Nigeria Dividing
A Counsel to the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has asserted that ‘the disintegration of Nigeria was sealed in 2015’.
The legal practitioner while reacting to a former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega’s warning that Nigeria could break up, also claimed that the academic ‘assisted President Muhammadu Buhari to power’.
Jega was Nigeria’s electoral umpire in 2015 when Buhari triumphed against incumbent Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
In a keynote address delivered at a conference on ‘20 Years of Democracy’, organised by TELL magazine on Wednesday, Jega had warned that if preventive measures were not taken, the prediction on the disintegration of Nigeria will come to pass. Read more here.
