A crash involving several vehicles has caused gridlock on the Otedola Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Concise News reports.
The multiple-crash, which occurred on Wednesday involved up to ten vehicles including a containerized truck, a pickup, a high capacity bus and several cars, affected motorists heading towards Berger.
This news medium reports that the crash has caused heavy traffic on the road, a situation that has also left travellers on the section of the highway stranded.
Although details of the accident remain sketchy, the casualty figure is also yet to be ascertained.
Confirming the accident, the Lagos State Traffic Management (LASTMA) in a series of tweets, advised motorists to use the CMD road from Secretariat towards Berger pending further updates on the road.
It also advised motorists to take alternative routes to their various destinations as emergency officials rescue the victims and clear the road.
