Unknown gunmen have abducted Justice Abdul Dogo of the Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State.
Concise News learned that Justice Dogo was abducted on Tuesday while he was returning to Akure from Abuja.
The kidnappers are said to have also made contact with his family members and demanded N50 million ransom.
A source close to the federal judiciary in Akure confirmed the incident that was corroborated by two of the lawyers who were in his court for hearing of their cases.
It was gathered that the police orderly that was attached to the judge did not accompany him on the journey.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has deployed the head of the IGP Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kiyari, to rescue Justice Dogo from his abductors.
