Seven persons have died and seven others injured in a ghastly auto accident involving the convoy of Governor Godwin Obaseki on Benin-Auchi Expressway.
Concise News learned that the accident occurred at Ehor town, when a Toyota Hilux van on the Governor’s advance team had a head-on collision with an Audi car.
The convoy was said to be going to Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, for convocation ceremony of the university, with three other survivors said to have been rushed to the Central Hospital in Benin City.
At the Central Hospital, a source confirmed that accident victims were brought in but declined to give details.
As the time of publishing this report, arrangements had been concluded to evacuate the driver of the Hilux van to a private hospital for adequate medical care.
