Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri has been appointed head coach of Serie A struggling side Sampdoria, Concise News reports.
The appointment of the former Roma boss was confirmed by Sampdoria on Saturday after signing a contract until June 2021.
The Italian, who won the Premier League with Leicester City in 2016, takes over from Eusebio di Francesco, who was sacked after a poor start to the new Serie A season.
Ranieri guided Roma to a sixth-place finish, missing out on Champions League football.
Sampdoria finished ninth last season, with Di Francesco taking over after Marco Giampaolo left for AC Milan.
The Genoese club have just one win in seven games and are bottom of the table, with 16 goals conceded.
