Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, a Counsel to the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has asserted that any South East leader who supports the proscription of the group “becomes complicit in repression”, Concise News reports.

The legal practitioner stated this on his known Twitter handle on Friday.

Ejimakor argues that “as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the state, it does not lie with an outsider (referring to the Federal Government of Nigeria) to tell you that your indigenes have turned terrorists under your nose.”

He tweets: “Any SE Gov who endorses Federal trial of #IPOB members for TERRORISM/treason, allegedly committed within SE, becomes complicit in repression. As the CSO of the State, it does not lie with an OUTSIDER to tell you that your indigenes have turned TERRORISTS under your nose. Be wise!”

Meanwhile, Ejimakor on Sunday said his “sacred duty is to defend and protect Kanu, IPOB, Ndigbo and their inalienable right to self-determination”.

He was reacting to a compliment by a self-proclaimed ‘Biafran’ on social media, Noble Humble Nzeadibe (@NNzeadibe).
