The suspect said that he killed the naval commander in order “to set the whole staff of the school free from her cheats.”

Concise News understands that Simon was one of the 50 suspects paraded by the Kaduna State Police Commissioner Ali Aji Janga on Wednesday.

The female Naval officer was gruesomely killed after she had reportedly had a running battle with a teacher.

It was gathered that her mutilated body, packed inside a big sack, was found in a shallow well close to the cantonment.

While parading the suspected killer, the police chief in the state, Janga, had accused Simon of raping the naval officer to death.

But Simon said he never raped Ogundana, whether before or after killing her.

“I killed Commander Ogundana alone. I sneaked into her house in the evening and hit her on the head with iron rod,” the 36-year-old Simon said.

“I killed her because she was cheating us in the school. I am a teacher in the school and she was cheating us as staff under her. I killed her to set the whole staff of the school free from her cheats.

“There are some financial benefits she deprived us of. She denied me in particular of over N100,000. That is why I killed her to set myself and other staff free from her.”

This news medium understands that the deceased naval officer, with service number NN/ 2367, was declared missing on 13 September, after efforts to ascertain her whereabouts were unsuccessful.

She was confirmed missing after she failed to report to work for some days.
