A former Super Eagles assistant Coach Fatai Amoo is not bothered as Chelsea duo Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham dumped Nigeria for England.

Abraham and Fikayo are set to make their debut for the Three Lions of England after they were called up for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and the Czech Republic later this month.

Nigeria had wanted the youngsters to switch allegiance to the West African nation after playing for England at youth level.

They have, however, chosen to pitch tent with the European side but Amoo believes Nigeria should not be bothered.

According to him, the country is blessed with enormous talents and as such would not be hit by the development.

“We are now putting the horse before the cart and that is why we are always looking for players born abroad with Nigeria root,” he told Brila FM.

“We put ourselves into this situation because I believe we have qualities that are better than Abraham and Fikayo in the country.”

Amoo noted that with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis who was named in the UEFC Champions League team of the week, Nigeria should not be worried about the Chelsea duo.

“Seeing how Osimhen and Dennis are playing in the UEFA Champions League has shown that Nigeria is blessed with talents and they have not seen anything yet from Osimhen and Dennis,” he added.

“So we should not lose sleep over the decision of Abraham and Fikayo to play for England. We all know those that made this kind of decision in the past and they were latter dump by England.

“So, Nigeria should forget about them and focus on the players we have. No need forcing anyone to play for Nigeria.”

Nigeria will take on Brazil in a friendly clash on October 13th at the Singapore National Stadium.

The country had in September played a 2-2 draw with Ukraine; their first match after winning the bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
