Super Eagles’ Emmanuel Dennis shortlisted for UEFA Champions League Player of the week

In related news, Osimhen’s teammate in the national team, Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure, has been shortlisted as one of the four candidates for the UEFA Champions League Player of the week honour.

Dennis will battle it out with Barcelona star, Luis Suarez, Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry and fellow African, Achraf Hakimi who plays for Borussia Dortmund, on loan from Real Madrid.

Club Brugge’s Dennis struck twice as the Belgian side return home with a point against the mighty Real Madrid.

Former Arsenal player, Gnabry was on fire at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, netting four times as his German clubside thump last years’s finalist 7-2.

And yesterday, Suarez’s double earned Barcelona maximum points against an in-form Inter Milan side tutored by erstwhile Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte.
