Now, he faces a decision to either fulfill his vow and go through the pain, or eat his words.

“Santiago Bernabeu, this is a dream. A lot of people didn’t even think they would come here to play. If I score then I will get a tattoo on my skin,” he said in a video posted on the club’s Youtube channel.

Speaking after the game, Dennis, 21 hinted he does not have a choice than to get two tattoos for scoring two goals against the most successful side in Champions League history.

“I guess I will now have to get two tattoos,” he said jokingly to Belgian television channel RTL.

“I’m happy to have scored two goals, but we really wanted to win the game and we were not far away from doing it. We have to be content with the point, which is not a bad result.”

Dennis has represented Nigeria at under-15 level.

He made his debut for the senior team on 10 September 2019 in a 2–2 friendly draw to Ukraine as a 82nd-minute substitute.
