Some South African football fans have criticised Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis for ‘not passing the ball’ to Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau on a counter-attack chance when Club Brugge clashed with Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Concise News reports that the Nigerian netted twice in the 2-2 draw with thirteen-time European champions, Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Tau made the assist for Dennis’ opener, before being pulled off in injury time.

Dennis himself did not play all 90 minutes.

Despite helping the Belgian side to an impressive outing in Spain, some South Africans besieged the official Twitter account of Club Brugge to express their displeasure with Dennis, 21 for being ‘selfish’.
