Ogere Betty, mother of former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia, has said that she wants her abductors arrested and prosecuted.
The 80-year-old was released by her abductors on Sunday after spending about 77 days in their custody.
She was kidnapped on July 15 at her Odoni residence in Sagbama, Bayelsa state and was taken away in a speedboat.
Concise News reports that it was the second time in four years Mrs. Siasia would be kidnapped.
She had previously been kidnapped in November 2015 but regained freedom 12 days later.
The octogenarian said although she is back home, she is still unhappy because she had suffered.
Madam Siasia said she would like to see the kidnappers apprehended, arraigned and sentenced to prison so they could also feel the pain of suffering.
She called on the security agencies to fish out the gunmen and prosecute them.
The octogenarian said although she had returned home safely after three months of suffering at the hands of the kidnappers, she was not happy that her abductors were walking free.
Recall that Siasia, who had pleaded for help last week, told the BBC he was ‘relieved’ that his mother had been released safely.
“It’s been really tough but I’m pretty relieved that she’s finally released on Sunday morning,” he told BBC Sport.
“I can only thank Nigerians and everyone involved in the safe return of my mother.
“She’s old and in poor health right now. I pray no one has to go through this emotional trauma.”
“My mother is unwell so she needs medical attention, which is my priority now.
“Then I have to do all I can to be heard at CAS because being in football is the only life that I know,” he added.
