INEC Vows To Protect NYSC Members During Kastina Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday vowed to protect NYSC members in Kastina posted to conduct an election on its behalf, against any form of insecurity threats

The Katsina State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Ibrahim Zarewa who made the vow while visiting the Katsina Camp to sensitize the 2019 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members deployed to the state, said conducting free and fair elections in the country is everybody’s business including the corps members.

Concise News understands that Zarewa further noted that adequate security will always be provided at each polling unit all over the country.

He also reiterated that corps Members has nothing to fear in participating in the conduct of elections

The Commissioner commended the credible role played by the corps members, especially in their handling of the card reader at polling units.

He said ’’please be ready for the assignment as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the NYSC and INEC was in the interest of the Country.”
