Kogi state governorship aspirant Mohammed Audu has pledged to ‘turn around’ the economy of the state by generating over N4.5 billion monthly from internal sources. Audu, son of former governor of the state, Late Prince Abubakar Audu, made the promise at a Media Parley organised by Kogi council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). Kogi: President Buhari Reacts To Bello’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the death of Rekiya Bello, the stepmother of Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Concise News reports. This online news medium understands that Buhari in a statement on Tuesday condoled with the Bello family over the loss. Kogi Govt Reacts To ‘Herdsmen Attack At Lokoja Motor Park’

The government of Kogi has denied speculations that herdsmen attacked a motor park in Lokoja, saying the rumour is aimed at creating panic and tension on the Confluence State. Speaking on Tuesday, governor Yahaya Bellos’s media aide Kingsley Fanwo said the fake news circulating on social media platforms was the handiwork of the enemies of the State. “Our attention has been drawn to some gory pictures on social media platforms, purporting that some herdsmen attacked a popular motor park in Lokoja and killed all passengers found there,” he said.
