Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco have officially unveiled Nigeria international, Henry Onyekuru as their newest signing.

Concise News reports that Onyekuru joins Monaco on Monday from Premier League side Everton for an undisclosed fee.

The Nigeria international, 22, never made an appearance for the Toffees after joining onΒ a five-year deal from Belgian club KAS EupenΒ for Β£7m in 2017.

He spent the 2017-18 season back in Belgium on loan at Anderlecht, before another loan deal at Turkish side Galatasaray last term.

Onyekuru scored 14 goals in 31 league games as Galatasaray won the title.

Reacting to his move, the newly-wedded athlete writes on his verified Twitter handle: “I want to thank @everton for the opportunity and making it possible for me to experience the best year of my career at @galatasaray . My time in Turkey was nothing short of amazing! The supporters, the club and my teammates made me feel at home from Day 1! We made history Thank U”

By joining Monaco, Onyekuru follows in the footstep of former African Footballer of the Year Victor Ikpeba who played for the club between 1993 and 1999.
