Kogi Election: Coalition Warns Against Alteration Of APC Delegates’ List

Coalition Of Kogi Progressives has warned against alteration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates’ list in the state. Concise News reports that the coalition gave the  warning in a statement signed by Olusula Olumoroti on behalf of members and stakeholders of APC on Monday in Abuja. Olumoroti said that the warning became imperative following an alleged plan to remove and illegally substitute delegates’ names ahead of the forthcoming APC primary election in the state. He cautioned that the list allegedly earlier submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the APC National headquarters in Abuja, may cause crisis within the party. Kogi Governorship Election: Ebira Monarch Throws Weight Behind Yahaya Bello

The Ohinoyi Of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim, has urged the people of the state to support Governor Yahaya Bello for his second term bid, saying he has performed very well. Concise News reports that Ohinoyi made the call when he led the traditional rulers from the central Senatorial district of Kogi to pay Sallah homage to the governor at his residence on Monday in Okene. Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, Ibrahim commended the governor’s achievements for the past three years in his first term, stressing the need for the people to rally round him for his re-election for second term. Ohinoyi, who also doubles as the Vice Chairman, Kogi State Traditional Council Of Chiefs, noted that the peace the state was currently enjoying today was not there during the previous administrations.
