The apex Igbo socio-cultural body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has descended hard on a former Senator Shehu Sani over his comment on the 2023 presidency, Concise News reports.
Concise News understands that the Ohanaeze’s statement was in a reaction to Sani’s comment where he said the All Progressives Congress (APC) should give its presidential ticket in 2023 to the South West.
However, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Ohanaeze, Chuks Ibegbu, described the statement as warped.
“This type of Sani’s thinking is responsible for the current state of the nation,” he told the press on Tuesday in Umuahia, Abia State.
“How can a Senator of that calibre who claims to be an Activist have this kind of warped political reasoning devoid of justice and equity?”
He restated that it is time for the South East to produce the next Nigerian leader.
