Nigerian Police on Friday sealed the office of the Chairman, Special Presidential Investigation Panel on the Recovery of Public Property Barrister Okoi Obono-Obla.
Concise News gathered that the office of the presidential panel, located in Asokoro, was sealed by some armed policemen following a directive from the presidency that Obono-Obla should be relieved of his appointment “immediately”.
According to Vanguard, Obono-Obla said he had yet to be briefed of his sack by the Presidency. He, meanwhile, said he was not disturbed over his alleged sack, adding that the development was corruption fighting back.
The Presidential Panel chairman, who is a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), also claimed that an official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that was facing corruption charges had recently boasted that he (Obla) would soon be removed after paying a visit to the Vice President.
