Okwaraji: How, NFF, Nigerians Celebrated Striker 30 Years After Demise

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and Nigerians have lauded Samuel Okwaraji’s commitment to the country, 30 years after his death.

Concise News understands that the striker died on August 12th, 1989 after he had a cardiac arrest during the Eagles 1990 World Cup qualifier against Angola in Lagos.

The NFF took to its Twitter handle to describe the late Okwaraji as a “true Nigerian patriot.”

Also, other Nigerians hailed his commitment to the Eagles team and prayed to God to continue to grant rest to his soul.
