A statement by its spokesperson, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, explained that the operation was executed after series of Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions revealed solar panels, communications equipment and other facilities at the command centre.

Micro-blogging social network Twitter on Friday unverified the account of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Concise News reports. The hit took place on Friday night and early Saturday, but all 2,399 tweets previously made by the vice-president and former attorney general of Lagos state were gone.

The accused, Uduak Nseobot and his wife, Aniedi, were charged to court on July 11 by the Akwa Ibom state government for alleged kidnapping, assaulting, and publicly stripping the woman, Iniubong Essien, whom they had accused of stealing some naira notes.
