The captain of Manchester United women side Alex Greenwood has signed for French outfit Lyon, Concise News reports.
Greenwood bagged five goals last term for the English side and played 27 times for the club.
The club in a statement on Friday, thanked her for contributing to the team, wishing her well in the future.
“Manchester United can confirm that our women’s team captain Alex Greenwood has completed a move to Lyon,” the statement said.
“The England international full-back wore the armband during our inaugural season under Casey Stoney, as we gained promotion to the Women’s Super League by winning the FA Women’s Championship title.
“Greenwood made 27 appearances, 26 as a starter, and scored five goals in all competitions during 2018/19.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Alex for her efforts and wish her the best of luck for the future.”
