Manchester United have struck a verbal agreement with Inter Milan to sign Romelu Lukaku after submitting an improved £73.9million offer.
Concise News learnt that the former Everton striker had been training with Anderlecht this week in a bid to maintain his fitness, having been exiled by Ole Gunnar Solskajer following a series of heated disagreements.
Lukaku’s relationship with Solskjaer deteriorated following a series of tweets last week which included the leaking of sensitive information relating to the performance of his teammates during pre-season speed test training drills.
Inter coach Antonio Conte has made no secret of his desire to bring Lukaku to San Siro and missed out on signing the player two years ago when he was in charge at Chelsea and was forced to make do with Alvaro Morata instead.
Juventus emerged as contenders to sign Lukaku but a complicated exchange deal involving Paulo Dybala collapsed earlier this week with the Argentine forward opting to fight for his future in Turin.
