Chelsea defender David Luiz has skipped the club’s training on Wednesday in a bid to join rivals Arsenal, Concise News reports.
Luiz was part of the Chelsea team that beat Arsenal in the final of the Europa League last season.
However, according to reports in France, the Brazilian wants to force his way into Unai Emery’s side before the end of the current transfer window, Thursday.
Arsenal are keen on getting a centre back before the deadline for transfer elapses following the departure of captain Laurent Koscielny on Tuesday.
Luiz had initially joined the Blues in 2011 but moved to France with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and later returned to Chelsea ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
