The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said he was attentive the first time he travelled out of Nigeria.
Pastor Adeboye noted this in his sermon on Tuesday at the Redemption Camp in Day 2 of the RCCG Convention 2019.
According to him, this took place about 43 years ago when he was still working with the University of Lagos.
He noted that a man was sent to deliver a message to him before the travel to Sierra Leone.
The clergyman said, “Some 43 years ago, I was traveling outside Nigeria for the first time.
“I was sent by the University of Lagos to deliver a message in Sierra Leone.
I was instructed by someone on how to go about my trip.”
He added that he “didn’t just listen, I hearkened. When the person rounded off, I requested that he repeated himself.
Pastor Adeboye, therefore, urged the congregants to “hearken diligently, not casually (to God); with all your strength and ability.”
