President Muhammadu Buhari has said he will be more party-conscious as a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his second term.
Some members of the APC had accused Buhari of not paying much attention to the party in his first four years in office.
However, while receiving members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC in Abuja, Wednesday, Buhari said he will become more party conscious in his last term.
Also, he lauded members of NWC for their sacrifices in ensuring that the party emerged victoriously in the 2019 elections.
“I respect the sacrifices you are making; you can only derive satisfaction if you are working for your country and all our people because, materially, nobody can pay you for the sacrifices,” the Nigerian leader noted.
“It is obvious that the success of the party was more paramount in your hearts.
“You could have deployed the times and energy you deployed for the party for your own personal use.”
