Following the released trailer of one of Nigeria’s most anticipated movie, “Mokalik,” the producer, Kunle Afolayan, said the intention is to promote Yoruba culture.
The multi-award-winning producer made it clear that culture must be embraced, as it is imperative that culture cannot be traded with anything else.
Afolayan in his words stressed that his target audience was the Yoruba speaking tribe, saying the other parts of the country might not see the movie because it was scripted and acted in a Native language.
According to him, this would be his first movie in his Native language, hence, he would love to see how far the movie will go.
Concise News had reported when the outstanding actor released the Trailer to the movie where he featured A-list Nigerian actors and stars.
“Mokalik” (Mechanic) stars X3M Music star Simi, Femi Adebayo, Faithia Williams, Ayo Adesanya, Charles Okocha, Dayo Akinpele, Lateef Adedimeji, Ayo Ogunshina and host of others.
The movie follows the career of an 11-year-old boy, Jaiye, from the middle-class suburbs who spends the day as a lowly apprentice at a mechanic workshop in order to view life from the other side of the tracks.
The making of the movie was announced in 2018 by Kunle Afolayan.
